Apple Tree Preschool

Apple Tree Preschool Update  -May 2018

We were blessed with another successful year at Apple Tree preschool.  We had 25 students this year and on May 23rd 17 of those students graduated and are on their way to Kindergarten. Six students will be returning next year to get prepared for their Kindergarten year.  We went on two fun filled field trips to Monroe’s Orchard and the Fire Station. The Pre-K was also invited to the elementary school for a tour and to meet their teachers for next year.  We enjoyed special guests this year- Ms. Robyn the PCDL Children’s Librarian came to read to us, Officer Boxler came to teach about the Police Department, Mr. Lacan lead us in a Christmas sing a long, and Rev. Rich came in to sing with us and teach us about guitars. In May, we held our annual mission fundraiser to help out St. Jude’s Hospital with our Trike-A-Thon and were able to raise $2000 for them.  Also, a HUGE thank you to all of you who helped us out with our candy fundraiser and donated supplies for our snacks- we truly appreciated your generosity. I would also like to thank the staff, our Executive Board and other members of the Church who help out with all of our special programs. The school runs smoothly and depends on  the help we receive from all of you. We wish our families the best that will be leaving and look forward to our new families and students that will be coming in next year. We still have some openings for the 2018/2019 year so please spread the word for us.
Open Registration for the 2018-2019 is HERE!

General Information

Apple Tree Preschool was established in 2006 and offers an age appropriate program for the creative, emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of the preschool child.    Opportunities are provided to develop the child’s visual, auditory, and large and small muscle motor skills, and to improve communication skills by sharing experiences through formal and informal conversation/discussion.  Apple Tree Preschool seeks to stimulate creative and cognitive development through everyday exposure to a wide variety of art, play materials, and curriculum.

Apple Tree Preschool is licensed by the State of Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. The preschool is governed by the Apple Tree Preschool Executive Board which consists of the preschool director, three to four church members, and the minister.  The Preschool Executive Board meets 4-5 times per year to discuss preschool policies, staff issues, and preschool budget issues.

Two separate classes are offered; a 3 Year Old Class and a Pre-k Class.  Each class has a lead teacher and a teacher assistant who works in conjunction with each lead teacher, assisting daily in each room as needed.  School begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day and ends in May.  Class times are as follows:

AM Classes – Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday -   9:15 AM – 11:30 PM

2018/12019 Staff Members

Currently Apple Tree has three staff members that are paid through student tuition.  Staff members are required to sign contracts yearly, are evaluated annually, and must maintain first aid and CPR certifications.
